Hi there! Welcome to my home page.
I’m Cheng (ChiEnn) Cheng, with a deep interest in Computational Epidemiology. My research focuses on integrating deep learning techniques with infectious disease modeling to contribute to the prevention and control of infectious diseases.
I recently completed an M.Sc. in Mathematics & Statistics at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, University of Malaya, where my work centered on data analysis and biomathematics, with a growing emphasis on learning-enhanced mechanistic models. Earlier in my career, I worked on earthquake data analysis during my sophomore year, which sparked my interest in scientific modeling. For a more detailed overview of my work, please visit my Research page
I am actively seeking PhD positions for Spring 2026 or Fall 2026 intake. If my research interests align with yours, or if you have opportunities that fit my background, I would love to connect!
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. I believe communication is the foundation of academic progress.
